In the office we have been trying to streamline the application process for Complying Development Certificates (CDC). While the intention of a CDC is to fast-track development approvals on behalf of the clients, it's a relatively complex operation that involves architects, council, NSW state government, engineers, fees, contracts, reports and let's not forget the actual architectural design.
I have created an interactive flowchart to illustrate the process that takes place to obtain a CDC. It is also intended as a step-by-step guide to approval and has links to google docs template files and has a checklist of required documents and fees that can be ticked off when you've completed them. Clicking on the pop out icon allows you to use the PDF in your preferred viewer.
